Care for your Lolo & May

Your Lolo & May piece is made to last. With considered care, it will hold its shape, colour, and lift across many summers.

After wear

Rinse immediately in cool, fresh water. Saltwater, chlorine, and the minerals in natural pools can compromise the fabric over time — a quick rinse in the shower removes them before they have a chance to settle.

Washing

Hand wash gently in cool water with a mild detergent. Avoid harsh soaps, bleach, and fabric softeners — they break down the elastane fibres that give the fabric its stretch and recovery. Do not soak.

Drying

Lay flat or hang in the shade to dry. Avoid direct sunlight and heat: UV exposure gradually fades colour and weakens the fibres. Never tumble dry, iron, or dry clean.

Avoid

Sunscreen, oils, self-tan, and other body products can stain swim fabric and degrade its elasticity. Apply these well before dressing and allow them to fully absorb.

Storage

Once fully dry, fold flat in a drawer or hang on a soft hanger. Avoid folding pieces with metal hardware against the fabric to prevent indentation.

A note on natural wear

Even with diligent care, swim fabric softens over time — this is the natural life cycle of premium swimwear. Treat your piece as a considered investment, and it will reward you with seasons of wear.
