Our Story

Swimwear was never really designed for women like us.

For years, the options were the same — two extremes, neither of which worked. Either no support at all (which ends up having these flimsy fabric over the bust), or cups so heavily padded they gapped and shifted.

Lolo & May was built to change that. But beyond the fit, Laurel is passionate about changing that deeper narrative — the one that says women with flatter curves don't measure up to the beauty standards. That story has been told by the industry for too long. And it simply isn't true.

Every collection is designed by Laurel — a founder who is also the customer. The fabric is chosen because it sculpts and supports without overwhelming a smaller frame. The padding is chosen specifically for AA to B cups. Every colourway is selected to sit beautifully across fair through tan skin tones — because design made for you should look right on you.

This is swimwear built so that women with smaller busts are finally seen — and feel exactly as beautiful as they are. By someone who won't accept less.

A personal note from Laurel, Founder

I have always known what I like — and I have never been willing to compromise on it.

When I couldn't find swimwear that actually fit, I designed it myself.

Every piece in Lolo & May exists because I created it for myself first. The design, the fabric, the cut, the construction, the colourways — all of it comes from someone who wears the product and won't accept less than exactly right.

That's the only brief I've ever worked from. And it's the one I'll keep working from.
